Shopify vs WordPress for e-commerce in France

Shopify vs WordPress for e-commerce in France

Shopify usually wins when the main need is to sell quickly and cleanly with limited technical debt. WordPress becomes more relevant when editorial flexibility and custom control matter more than speed of execution.

The trap is choosing WordPress to save money up front and paying more later in maintenance, plugins and fragile tradeoffs. The inverse exists too: choosing Shopify when editorial depth is central to how the business acquires traffic.

The right decision should follow how the brand operates in reality, not generic comparison pages read outside context.
